Home Section page B3 PM's 4 BASIC RULES FOR RELIGIOUS HARMONY
b) In your opinion, how can we maintain a common space in schools?
2) Do you respect other religions? Why or why not?
What do you think of children who stay away from their parents' funerals because they believe the traditional rites are against their new religion?
Ans 1a) tolerating each other’s differences and not discriminate each other’s religion due to one’s thought of another’s religion’s practices is taboo. Secondly, separating religion and politics so that proper justice can be delivered in this society without any religious interference in this advancing society where there would be lesser people expected to follow the olden ways. Thirdly, the laws of justice must be open to all for everyone to decide. But, moral values must be uphold, everyone must give go ahead for each other’s opinion regardless of one’s religion so as to achieve a better “law” which everyone does not feel that it is prejudice to one or more religions. Lastly, out justice system must include laws that satisfy the requirements of the religion without having them to perform similar actions that are not violating their religion sets of ways. For example , Muslims eat halal food while Hindus are forbidden to eat beef, Buddhist are only permitted to eat vegetables. We could offer them the food of their choice while not requesting them to eat the same food.
1b)we could encourage others to join in conversations between other races to promote relationship between them or we could organize them to work together.
2) I always try to respect other’s religion as I believe that our relationship should not affected by our religion ways or anything related to it that is consider taboo to others. For instance, a child that stays away from their parents' funerals because they believe the traditional rites are against their new religion should not be criticized as everyone has their own differences and should respect one another if they wish to receive it from others. By the way, visiting parent’s funeral is also a religion act so why not accept each other’s action? They are not harming others or being malicious.

b) Which other countries already have such doors installed at train stations?
2) What is your opinion of commuters on trains who disregard the rules (no eating/drinking, give up seats for the elderly/ the disabled/ pregnant women etc.) on the train?
1a) to keep passengers away from the train tracks and the platform doors opening when the trains halting when they are at the station would help prevent anyone from plunging into it be it accident or for stupid reasons like suicide.
b) Paris and Taipei are also countries that are safety conscience about accidents or cases related to people falling into the rails and getting rammed by speedy trains or getting rescued by bystanders or the station staffs.
2) My opinion of commuters is that they are stupid, idiotic or shy. Firstly, we all know that Singaporeans are renowned for their so-called lineage of selfishness and ego; therefore they always have thoughts of being superior or being soft by giving up on their seats. Why would they compare them with their selves when they have a huge age margin? Isn’t that stupid and also giving up your seat doesn’t kill and your friends would probably have a greater impression on you, if they tease you, then they are stupid, if they think they are weak if they help out weak people, then stop being friends with them, they are the one who will probably lead you astray as this kind of behaviour is most favoured among pigs like hooligans and gangsters who think that to expressed one’s manly hood is to shun or lookdown upon weaklings. Then let me ask you what do you get out of that kind of manly hood? You would probably start doing even more atrocious things to express that you are superior in it and in the end police would offer you a trip to their station and a free package of being detained in their station and summoned to the court afterwards. For those who eat in the train for ridiculous reasons like “I think its fun to flout the laws” or “I want to eat anytime it want”, then you are like an idiot, thinking that asking for trouble is a fantasy or entertainment. If you really want to eat so much then who not have to police there to give you a serving of fine? I bet the food serving isn’t enough to keep you going for a day? Oh I almost forgot that fine is very hazardous to you like unhealthy food. For married couples, your husband or wife will be like a time bomb when she or he heard about the “fantastic” words on a letter that says your fined! I bet she would “explode” when you reach home and fallout with you, by then you would have to explain till your throats dry. For most the fine is painstaking to pay, you would probably end up in tears when you as a children/teen/adult have to fork out your pocket money or part of your salary to pay it; wow that’s an expensive cuisine on the train!!!

Elderly Falling Prey to 'Volunteer' Ruse (trick)
1a) What is the modus operandi (method of operating) of the con artists?
b) What are the Lion Befrienders planning to do to ensure the old folks do not get conned again?
2) Do you like doing social work? Why or why not?
Ans 1a) they would identify themselves as volunteers of welfare organization on a project to spruce up elderly homes. Then they would help themselves to their cash.
b) they alerted those under them and started impersonating volunteers.
2)bleah!! What hell!!! is some of what is in inpatient, inconsiderate people who thinks social work is easy and rewarding in terms of reputation.for me, I would certainly make an effort not to be involved in social work. Firstly, it’s too time costly and I would probably spend a hell lot of time making an effort to help others. Secondly, not all the people I work with are all gentle and civilized, some would probably hurl vulgarities at you for even committing a meager mistake while others try to chase you away, worst still! Some might turn aggressive and you might end up in the police station wasting hours trying to explain what happened. Thirdly, I am not an active person and would most probably collapse in exhaustion after an hour’s work and in the end I might cause the social service team to waste even more time by giving aid to me which during that time, they would have already finish helping a horde of needy people already, so why waste time for a person who’s as frail as an old man .lastly, I hated social work because of the dirt treatment I have to do. I stink to high heavens when you even smell at it, and touching the squishy dirt or worst still poop for elderly who are senile and did their business everywhere!!!! Who wouldn’t prefer to be the elderly instead of the social worker who have to face his or hers poor fate of washing and disposing it?

A Deadly Business
1a) What are the 2 worrying trends about drug trafficking mentioned in the article?
b) Why are Singaporeans increasingly being used as "drug mules"?
2) What will you do if you find out that one of your friends is selling drugs? How will you react if someone tries to sell you drugs?
Ans.1a) the worrying matters are that people, youngsters and adults, are increasingly getting involved in the drug trade.
1b) that is because everyone knows that Singapore is particularly a pain in the ass for drug traffickers. Therefore they neglected safety measures against Singaporeans as we all know everyone would prefer troublesome things done fast or even not doing it at all, by not zapping idiotic Singaporeans who are really dumb enough to traffic drugs , we help save time and minimize the hassle for other foreigners coming to countries for vacations, giving them a much pleasant trip.
2) If my friend is peddling drugs, I would warn him or her to stop as we all know drug dealing is against the law and by getting involve means getting yourself in hot soup as police are always hounding onto drug distributor, therefore, selling drugs also means screwing with the law which can lead to fatal consequences. Speaking of consequences, you must be interested for what is packed for you when you are involved, that entitles you to being jailed for idiotic adults who thinks of easy cash instead of consequences, or a round of reformation at the reformatory for juveniles that think of either easy cash or maidens to assault them when they finish dealing with drugs and become more “cool”. As a bonus death for “adults only” , if they traded too much drugs and the law thinks they should be given more of what they deserve.

Hawkers fall prey to brazen break-ins.
1a) Why is it easy for burglers to break into stalls at the two markets in the Kallang area?
b) What is the Geylang East Central Merchants' Association going to do about the break-ins?
2. What do you think should be done to tighten the security of the markets? What do you think of the burglars who brazenly break into the stalls?
1a) the reasons why burglars effortlessly broke into stalls at the two markets is due to the unwillingness to install grilles that cost a hellish amount.
1b) the geylang east central Merchant association’s response is allowing the hawkers to “fortify” their stores with a more reasonable amount of $16 rather than prices that would end up having the victims cursing the thieves and going through the incontinences of reporting the thefts and waiting for a month to have justice serve for them (the police is usually preoccupied by crucial cases and murders that they would only investigate when they are bored)
2) Maybe we should install surveillance cameras over hawker centers on dark areas so as to give the thieves a surprise when they are surprisingly arrested for theft ,miserably watch through the surveillance tape showing how dumb and idiotic they are to commit thefts before being cuffed and sent to the court ,convicted, and sent behind bars to go through the horrifying process of deprived of freedom, love, and getting beaten up by jail mates and humiliated by them. Actually I think of the burglars as a pitiful person, Now don’t laugh at me, here’s the reasons…firstly, the burglars are usually jobless or poor people who cant cope with the financially burden and have to resort to stealing as a form of fast income as we all know many have lost their jobs during the recession and financial downturn. secondly, the some brainless juveniles thinks that it is “cool” to steal, let me ask you what is this “cool” anyway? Is it edible, beneficial or is it just a human evolution error that makes us think this way? This so called “cool” is the reason for the genuine” cool” of going to jail and getting screwed and getting crapped up!. The ridiculously stupid “cool” should be maintained to a lower level instead of unleashing it in a retarded way that would end up giving you a free ticket to the jail , you can buy a bag and so fore to make you “cool” but not looking down on others is also a great way to maintain the “cool” at a certain level too.

3 Cheers for the Team
- (a) Why is cheerleading an expensive sport?
(b) What makes cheerleading such a tough sport?
- What is your opinion of cheerleaders? If given a chance, would you join cheerleading? Why/ why not?
Ans1 (a)the reason why cheerleading is an expensive sport is due to the expensive clothing , hair dressing products, pom-poms, gymnastic classes and workshop, medical insurance(especially for those who are a klutz),nutritional supplements ,shoes ,and training mats. The main purpose of cheer leading is to motivate the cheer leader’s team in the competition in order to make sure that they do not lose confidence or go to “panic mode”, and therefore exquisite clothing and hair products(especially the tailored costume which cost a bomb to make as having outdate costumes make your school out while others are in) is essential because no one likes cheerleaders dressing simply as instead of being motivated they lose morale rapidly and get distracted, in the end, they just increase their vulnerabilities, screwing up everything in the competition. Medical insurance cost a painful amount to purchase and maintain especially for those who perform like clowns and always being a klutz. Instead of being a benefit for the school the clumsy personals of some cheerleaders they make it painful for others and themselves by performing mistakes and injuring others by accident, in the end, the school pays more than what they get. the shoes and tights(maybe not imported) of the cheerleaders are expensive in terms of price as they are imported from
1(b)”Gaah! I hates it!!!,this is soo harsh!!!, what the hell is this!!” are the speeches most probably heard from new students who wants to obtain fame from cheerleading but forgot or did not reconsider the harsh training they are going to battle against when they join cheer leading.Cheer leading itself is a physical taxing activity as most would probably get bruises and wounds at first try, or worst! Concussions, head injuries temporary memory lost ,fractures you name it.In the end everyone looked pathetic on the outside by that time can you still get your so called “fame”?
2) Bleah!! No thank you! I don’t wish to join such a CCA that jeopardizes my health during practices, if I remain there for a sometime, I would most probably end up as a nut case due to all the stress and nervousness. There are other reasons for my uncanny hate for cheerleading. Firstly cheerleaders serve more of a distraction than a morale retainer as male competitors would most probably be gazing at them during the competition, thinking of how pretty they are. secondly the expenses for cheerleading is atrocious as even a training mat cost $50 a piece, and most probably i could not afford them or even want to part with my allowance for it.thirdly, im not an active person and would probably faint during the practices, further more I wouldn’t want to get myself into the hospital because of an accident.

Businesses are still big on doing good
What are big companies doing in order to be more socially responsible?
One of the companies, SingTel, plans to carbon emission and reduce paper wastage as they do not want their company to contribute to global warming and also, they wish to cut down business cost. International company, Mc Donald’s has come to a decision whereby, the company will not purchase cattle meat or any food from rainforest or recently deforested rainforests as they do not want to endanger the animals there , as if mc Donald’s wish to buy food there, more animals would be killed.
Question 2
How important it is to be socially responsible? And do you think it is still possible to make a social impact during the recession?
A socially responsible company would not conduct activities that would led to the harming of populations in the area of its operation.it also helps the company earn more profits, more successes , sustainable supply chain, environment , community and other internal and external company factors.
Save the planet? This is a job for school kids…
What are some of the things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to take care of the environment?
Q1) Schools in Singapore are teaching their pupils of the importance and ways to save energy and the environment so as to allow a deeper understanding of how human activities and our lifestyles are affecting the environment and energy sources. Schools also require students to bring their utilities bill to school so as to warn them about how wasteful they are in terms of electricity and water supply or to compliment them on their environmentally friendly behaviour. Schools like commonwealth secondary school bought their students out to wetland to test on the waters cleanliness which is used to treat bathroom waste waters. They also went their to observe how the animals and plants are affected there. other schools are not fare behind either, Elias park primary contributes by using organic waste for example fruit peels to be reused as fertilisers for plants and also, Nan yang high banned cardboard food takeaways as they are non biodegradable.
Question 2
Do you think one person's effort in reducing; reusing and recycling will make a difference in saving the environment? What steps have you taken in the effort to save the earth?
Q2)I agree that a person’s effort in reducing, reusing and recycling will make a difference. Firstly, practicing environmentally friendly habits in front of the public would inspire them to follow you in practising these habits as usually, most of us do not want to be the odd one out by practicing environmentally friendly lifestyles. Secondly, although you may think that by reusing things, reducing electrical and water wastage wouldn’t make a difference in helping the environment as one man isn’t going to save the world. Actually if you practice these lives style everyday, maybe for a month or a week, you actually recycled and saved yourself from using a huge amount of electricity, water and throwing away rubbish, which is quite a big deal . Emphasising and practicing environmentally friendly skills would positively influence a child’s reaction and behaviour when it comes to practicing environmentally friendly habits. Why? The reason behind it is that when parents practice good or bad habits, they would usually follow as they are still immature and cannot think for themselves yet. If you practice bad habits like throwing litter in the public, they would most likely follow, and when they have grown up, it becomes a habit and they would continue to repeat it until they recognise it was wrong to do that, usually painful lessons like fines were needed to make them cut the habit. Sometimes being environmentally friendly doesn’t mean that you have to do get your hands dirty and sweat like a pig. If you own a company or if you have a small business, you or your designers can design environmentally friendly products or you can use, or import environmentally friendly materials to produce your supplies or to make items to sell. Owning a big company would definitely improve the environment if your product is environmentally friendly. lastly, I hope that everyone contributes positively to the environment to make it a better place to live, work and play.

Reforming sex offenders
How does the treatment programme of the Singapore Prison Service help sex offenders?
Q1) it corrects the negative thinking of sex offenders which made them commit sex crimes. The program was also conducted to help them overcome the regrets, shame, and any negative thoughts of their sex crimes which might cause them lose hope in society. It was also designated in helping the offenders to devise a method in overcoming the urge to commit sex crimes.
Question 2
Do you think that sex offenders should be given a second chance in the society? State your reasons.
Q2) I strongly agree that offenders should be given a chance in society even if they commit sex crimes many times. Firstly sex offenders are humans and like every one of us we are fallible and sometimes we commit mistakes .don’t you think we should forgive them like what we did to others who have commit mistakes too? And why must it be sex criminals that we cannot accept? They are like other criminals who have crimes , is it because of our human nature? Secondly, we, humans have sex hormones in our body flowing through our blood stream to parts of the body to start up changes like puberty and sexual behaviours and sometimes these hormones acts on one’s brain and cause him or her to have an urge to rape others who are sexually appealing to them. Thirdly, others like bala kappusamy who have committed sex crimes are also ought to be forgiven too. Why? Because unlike any other sex offenders who raped others out of urge, he may have a reason like anyone of us for doing things . And because we don’t know of it doesn’t mean that we can make stupid comments like” oh this is the guy who raped a girl how pathetic and retarded, I think he should go to hell”. It is true that we too are afraid of being his next victim but we should not shun him and give him awful comments about what he had committed, imagine yourself in his shoes , you would not want to be like him being unaccepted In society right?.
Finally I hope that everyone gives a chance to sex offenders for them to rise and shine like everyone of us.

Q1) what are the different forms of ketamine?
Q2) there are ketamines that are the different in form and they are no more than the Ks or special k and kit Kat
Q2) what would you do if you knew your friend took ketamine?
Q2)I would stop him from making the terrible mistake of consuming ketamine by asking him to stop abusing the drug as he could quit eating them .The reason why I would do that is because ketamine is an abusive drug, it is used for its effects are attractive to people who wants to enjoy experiences that nothing more than its desirable side effects ,one of its effects is that it makes a person feel being separated from their bodies, another makes the addict experiences a terrifying feeling of almost complete sensory detachment that is likened to a near-death experience and this why in Singapore it is banned as it is addictive and the drug addict not just experience the side effects , he also gets his health taxed from consuming them , long term use can lead to impaired attention , delirium, amnesia, impaired motor function, high blood pressure, depression, and potentially fatal respiratory problems. which could affect work and studies , retard or reduce learning ability or deteriorate the addict’s memory and I don’t want to see my having difficulties focusing, being forgetful, land himself in hospital with multiple respiratory failure or problems or even get himself transferred to special school due to permanent brain damage because of eating ketamine. It also lands him in hot soup if he gets caught red handed, and the law sentences him to jail and fine him. He could even drug rape a person after he consume it as the drug destabilize an addict’s mental condition causing him to be unable to control himself. The victim could also sue him for rape. The drug is very costly and I doubt anyone could pay for it for long. My friend would start committing crimes if he couldn’t pay for the drugs and soon, one day he would get caught and punished by the law.

ST Reflection 2009 – Secondary 2NA/Exp
Q2) what’s worth giving up your life for?
Q2) I would rather devote my life in accomplishing my dreams than defending the country itself. I admit that I myself is one of the “rats” who are scared of dying while defending my country, but I have my reasons .Firstly, I do not have any confidence in Singapore’s armed forces as we Singaporeans are not big in numbers and if any countries invade us , all of us wouldn’t hold our ground for long , so why bother defending our nation when it is ready to fall apart when an invasion occur and turn our nation into a fiery abyss when you could immigrate to a better environment and enjoy long lasting peace?. Another reason is that I think war a waste of time as it can occur for months, or even years. If you chose to leave the country, maybe you already had a successful career. By the time the war had ended, it left families broken and sorrows. The biggest reason why I would decline fighting for my nation is that war is time of destruction, you may have thought that we just go to the war and shoot the hell up the invaders or get shot at, but actually war was more than a time of killing. Every time you aimed an enemy during the war and pulled the trigger, the bullet doesn’t just hurt him and killed him, it also destroys his family and his future. Since the governments are the one who decides to have war then tell them to go to war instead, we are the one who suffers under the government who decides to have war and I think that since they are the one who are responsible then they should bear the consequence, I am not stating that Singapore government should go to war but the government who is responsible for war example if there is one.

No Loitering After School (IN! pg 7)
Q1) the principle of the school thinks that students idling near their school is a waste of time and wants the students to cultivate a positive habit in utilizing their time appropriately, therefore they forbid their students from loitering outside the school after school for their interests.
Q2) Do you agree with this rule? Explain your answer.
Q2) in my opinion, it is right to forbid students from loitering outside the school after school has ended as this prevents them from mixing with the bad company like hooligans, drug peddlers, rapists and bullies and syndicates that trade drugs and loan sharks. As most of the bad company would always loiter around the school, hoping to prey or convince the students to become part of their syndicate or gang, thereby leading them astray. This rule forbidding students from loitering outside the school also serves as a form of good time management as if the student wishes to go out with their friends near the school, they have to go through the trouble of going back home to change their clothes and some lived far away from the school and they travel to school by MRT or buses, this rule would force them to drop the idea on loitering or hanging out near the school as most would think that it would be troublesome to go back home and come back again. This hereby allows the student’s parents to put their hearts to ease about worrying that their child would hangout with bad company or commit crimes.

1)what was jackneo's vocation when he is serving the nation?
1)he was a quarter master back then and a platoon commander at an infantry unit,he was posted to singapore armed forces's Music and Drama company where he drew cartoons to pioneer magazines which was published by the Ministry of Defence for its troops.
2)"hard work lead to sucess" do you agree?
q1)2) Yes. Hard work always leads to success ,it is common to fail after a few attempts but that doesn’t mean that you would never succeed in doing what you are trying .take jack neo as a role model, he practiced his acting skills ,hosting ,scriptwriting even though without proper educations to these skills. When he was asked to serve national service, his hard work paid off as he was transferred to the SAF's music and Drama Company and contributed cartoons to pioneer magazine, published by the ministry of defense for its troops. pioneer later interviewed him and he became an actor and a host of TV shows, he was later employed by the music and drama company working as a drama director and now his an actor, emcee, comedian .He also owns a semi detached house and a massive black Toyota mpv although he did not even enrolled into university not even junior college but look at him now a rich man with a promising carrier and a great family this is because he preserved and he was resilient .Jack neo's success proved to us that hard work always lead to success, it may not happen in your first, second, third tries but it will only happen if you preserve.

THE STRAITS TIMES
q2:is underage drinking correct? explain your answer
answer for qs1: one of the teenagers’ girl friend told the reporters that she and her friends were walking in the machriche reservoir to watch the monkeys after having a night drink at vivo city. They tried to find a way out of the forest when they stumble upon a golf course . as there were no signs indicating that the golf course was a private area, they went in and the fight erupt after a while.
q2:No.underage drinking can result in the persecution of the law and as we are young and do not know that alcohol has an effect on us .We might end up drunk, disorientated and start to hurt people all around us ,saying hurtful language and lossing control of ourselves .Alcohol is also a health hazard when we consume it.It can lead to alcohol poisoning if over consumed and slowly death. alcohol also leads to addiction even it was for pure enjoyment or experiments and drinking it might get more than what we bargained for .Alcohol is also quite expensive and I doubt anyone can drink it everyday using their pocket money, teenagers running out of money may ask their family members for money by lying to them and when their family members dont give them they steal either from them or others which is a crime. Addicts can ask their family members for help in assisting them on quitting on drinking or they can talk to their close friends to help them and support them to over come the addiction .They should resist temptations caused by their friends and stay away from them if they are encouraging the consumption of alcohol .I hope that many of us do not consume alcohol and teenagers like us should go for talks on alcohol if we are not aware of the cons of alcohol.
